CR Planning: July 2015

Welcome to the Underground! Newbies, we're very excited to have you! As mentioned in the calendar, there will be a welcome log posted on the 19th for newbies and current players alike to mingle. However, don't feel that you can't post until then, feel free to jump in right away! In the meantime, this post is a free-for-all for everyone to make new CR and figure out how to get involved with the game.

You can use this post to:

• Discuss your character's background history with other players and make changes where needed.
• Work out shared history with canonmates and build in cross-canon CR.
• Say what kind of CR you're looking for and reply to others to offer CR.
• Say hi to the members of your faction and discuss your in-game strategy.
• Think about what territories you might want to make a claim on.

The plotting post for July is still live with a couple of prompts left to claim, so please do feel free to use it!

I also want to add a quick reminder about the HMD meme that went up a couple of days ago, and in particular my request for feedback on the game. I've had a lot of great feedback already and am very happy to hear more suggestions, whether you've just joined or you've been around since the beginning. I will be starting to make the changes discussed from this weekend onwards, and more input is always welcome.

Sylvia Redbright (NPC) | Witch

Sylvia is a witch, and she's in charge of Circle Daybreak, the Night Council and the Redbright Institute. It's probably safe to say that she is not a happy bunny right now. In the last couple of weeks, Circle Midnight openly declared a coven and claimed the territory of Enfield. Then the Seelie and Unseelie Courts took over both Bromley and Bexley. From Sylvia's perspective, all of those things are Not Good.

As previously mentioned, I won't be making any territory claims as a mod. But of course ICly it would make absolute sense for Sylvia to react to these events so if anyone wants to make a territory claim on behalf of Circle Daybreak or the Redbright Institute, she would definitely be in favour. Until that happens, I'm assuming that she will keep an eye on the situation as it develops, and possibly bide her time with info-gathering. Spies and double agents could be a thing here. Bring me your ideas and I will be happy to discuss!

Here's a brief outline of Sylvia's overall strategy for the Redbright Institute:

• Extend the green safe zone to the north of London
• Take over disputed territories and make them peaceful
• Stamp out dark magic completely
• Eventually, negotiate with the vampires and werewolves to broker a peace agreement
• Support Circle Daybreak and Night Council where possible

And her strategy for Circle Daybreak:

• Make a slow expansion to gradually dominate the entire south of London
• Avoid pissing off the vampires unless they get aggressive
• Support Redbright Institute and Night Council where possible
• Aggressively squash any attempts by Circle Midnight to gain territory

And throwing in that: DOUBLE AGENTS, YES PLEASE. I mean, obviously, you and I won't have that CR, but. I just want to say here that I totally encourage spying/double-agenting in either direction between the Circles. Because it'd be awesome.

I'd actually like to make a territory claim for Redbright and I'm all in favor of spies and double agents. Ekko's ability isn't particularly fight focused, but he could definitely be used as a spy.

Balem Abrasax / Unseelie Fae

Balem is a douchebag Unseelie fae lord who loves space and is pretty okay with other fae and pretty snobby towards anyone else. He's also really damn old (50,000) and has been in London for around 200 years, and before that places like Italy, France, Ancient Greece, and Ancient Egypt, if your character would have been in any of those places. He's arrogant as hell and enjoys art and manipulating others.

Recently he lead a territory claim on Bexley and was also promoted to Lord of Autumn.

PLANS:
-I am planning on running a plot in which Balem agrees to get rid of a pesky ghost (and ends up eating it because he's a jerk like that). If anyone wants to participate (new or old CR) let me know!
-I'll probably do an open post sometime soon.


DESIRED CR:
-Fae!
-Alliances with werewolves, circle midnight witches, and anyone else that feels scorned by the Night Council.
-Anyone who is also interested in space and star-related magic, he may grumpily mentor you.

Would you be interested in Balem talking to Faust? Not that he's all that interested in space magic, but the Night Council probably turned down his perfectly legit research grant into raising souls from the dead so first of all, how dare they o9.

Heiji | Detective Conan | Seelie fae

Summary: Heiji is a Seelie fae who was sent to London ostensibly to watch and learn how foreign courts do things. Because of the people he's met and the things he's seen, however, he's decided to take a more active role in trying to change things up a bit, especially for the fae. Even if that means he occasionally gets smashed through a car windshield.
Shared History: He hasn't been in London for that long, but he tends to meet a lot of people, so I'd be happy to set something up! Also if your character is from Japan, hit me up :x.
CR: Interfactional alliances, of course! Heiji is a staunch ally and always on the lookout for new friends to make the fae's lives a little easier. I'm also particularly interested in Heiji interacting with factions/species that the fae aren't all that cozy with. Example: vampires, as he barely knows any and thus might change his opinion on them as a whole. Seelie/Unseelie CR is also great, wolves are great, etc. In general, Heiji's a chatty, cheerful sort, so if you need some disgusting optimism in your life or just someone to talk your character's ear off, well.

Topics I'm interested in exploring:
-Nature themes, e.g. progress vs preservation
-Challenging his perceptions of other groups/species and vice versa
-Fae/human relationships will be another theme in the future I think.
Faction/Strategy Stuff: Talk to me, nerds B). He's mostly interested in counterbalancing Circle Daybreak so they can't take over South London.

And second of all, what exactly about fae/human relationships do you want to explore, because Maera here is willing to talk forever about her parents to Heiji if he wants to listen.

Sirius Black | Harry Potter | Shapeshifter

Sirius is a Shapeshifter with loose connections to the Hillingdon Clan. He's been in prison for the past 12 years after being framed for murder, but has since managed to escape and is now roaming London determined to clear his name. He's fairly cagey of his identity and has been reluctant to give out his last name, should anyone figure out who he is and report him.

Plans:
-I hope to have a log up this weekend (hopefully this evening) for him, with a few options including him causing trouble through a prank of some sort and him sneaking around his old place of employment, which may lead to him getting found out.
-Hopefully have him connect with the Hillingdon clan at some point.

Desired CR:
-Friends and people he can count on, mostly. Or at least, people he can convince that he's innocent and are willing to help him?
-Otherwise, anything.

Faust VIII | Shaman King | Circle Midnight

Summary: Faust is an emotionally unstable dark witch/necromancer who has basically bargained away the most important things in his life in pursuit of a single goal: bringing his wife back from the dead. He'll do whatever it takes to make this happen: rob graves, make proverbial deals with the devil, even eat at Arby's.
Shared History: Faust has been in London for the past few years, ministering to the Underground from his medical clinic in Lambeth. He could easily have treated any characters that have needed fixing up in the past, and is reasonably well-known because he's a) discreet, b) good at his job, c) creepy as hell and without many scruples when it comes to who he'll help.
CR: Patients, people he's wronged, friends/family of loved ones he's wronged, people who want hexes or spellcraft performed, people who can offer him research materials/knowledge, people who just plain need to be weirded out by a 30something dude who's almost comically weird.
Faction/Strategy Stuff: None planned right now, though of course he'll never turn down a good bargain. Or maybe even a bad bargain.

Abigail Widdowson | witch, Circle Midnight

Character & background: Abigail Widdowson is from a prominent but reclusive family. They've donated to all the right causes, are on vaguely familiar terms with all the right people, but, for the most part, they aren't known in a truly social sense. The family's more history than anything at present, as Abby's been the only member of the household still living for the last six years. Part of what's known about the Widdowson is that they tend to come to bad ends. Sometimes it's murder and outright insanity, other times it's accidental. Among the supernatural community, they're known for being Circle Midnight and a long, long history of dealing with fae.

For Abby's part, she's tried to reintegrate her family socially. She attends a lot of parties, works with charities, and also goes to Middlesex University. Where the supernatural is concerned, she's also stepped out as the leader of a Circle Midnight coven, based out of Enfield.

Plans: Mostly, Abby's plan right now is to fortify her stake in Enfield. She has a few loose, personal alliances with werewolves and vampires, but she's going to be looking to solidify those and expand them into more official alliances. While she has nowhere near the power or connections, she's got the same idea Sylvia does: broker peace between the two factions to further her own goals.

Around the beginning of October or so, Abby may start looking to claim another territory for Circle Midnight, but that's up in the air and depends how things go over the next few months.

Wanted CR:
- Alliances: Like I said above, Abby is going to try and set up some proper alliances between herself, her coven, and other groups that might be able to protect them when the conflict with Redbright (Daybreak, the Institute, and the Night Council all sort of factor into that) comes to a real boiling point.
- Enemies: Because establishing the coven, moving against Redbright, and trying to make alliances will naturally rub some people the wrong way. I welcome negative CR and would love to talk about conflicts of varying intensities. Abby is brash and a little reckless, and I expect that to have consequences.
- Social: Abby gets around. She goes to school, volunteers, shops. All of these things are going to bring her into contact with people, and I'd love to set up some meets for casual acquaintances.
- Fae: Abby's already starting to speak to members of the fae factions, and I'm glad to have that continue. Eventually, she's going to start looking for one to actually make her deal with for her life and the continuation of her line.
- Anything else: If I forgot something or you've got an idea that doesn't really fit into the above, hit me up!

Henry Morgan | metahuman, Redbright Institute/Night Council

Character & background: Henry Morgan is a doctor who's been alive for 235 years. He found out he was an immortal when, at 35, he was shot by the captain of a slave ship. Since then, he hasn't aged. He's been involved in both World Wars as a medic, and he's moved between New York and London frequently, as well as a few other places when he's been recognised. Mostly, though, he gravitates toward those cities. He is constantly seeking something new, something to remind him that life is still worth living.

So far, he's gone from taking a position at Redbright Institute to teach politics and history to being an on-call physician and member of the outreach program. He's also taken up a post at Scotland Yard through the Night Council as a medical examiner. He usually pokes his nose where it shouldn't be, having worked with a New York detective and gotten a real taste for crime solving.

Plans: Right now, Henry's pretty content where he is. He's on a bit of a high from a case he found himself on (and dragged a few other people into), so he's content with his typically boring medical examiner's job.

Wanted CR:
- Friends: Henry isn't too social of a creature by most standards, but he learned to be a little better at it from his time in New York. He hasn't actively engaged in trying to find social circles, but I'd love to find a few people who would pique his interest enough in things to have him seek out their company.
- Enemies: Henry's working for the Night Council. That's bound to make a few people uneasy, I'm sure, and I'd love to see things happen because of it. He hasn't done much to make enemies yet, but I'm happy to see how we can change that.
- Immortals: In general, Henry is very new to knowing about the supernatural. I'd love to see him get more involved with other immortals, be they fae, fellow metahumans, or vampires.
- Anything else: I really am open to a lot. If there's something specific you want and none of the above appeal to you, let me know. I'm sure we can work something out.

I think we discussed on my intro about Henry having known Liam during one of the wars? I am definitely down with Henry being very confused about the tiny freckled vampire who looks exactly like the weird tiny freckled medic he used to know.

Eames | Unseelie Jerk Fae

The short version is that Eames is a fae from the area, about 600 years old and spends most of his time in London - but he's been around. A few years in Italy, a decade in America - whatever. He's yet to do anything special, but he's always nosing around because he's a curious lil busybody.

CR GOALS:
His main interest is making "friends", which is to say allies and informants. He feigns friendliness pretty easily, but he also enjoys bartering if that's more your jam. People outside the ~traditional allies~ for the fae are also of particular interest since that gives him access to a lot of information he wouldn't otherwise get. Also buddies within the court, why not. He doesn't spend a lot of time fussing over court business, but with the territory claims he's starting to think it may be of interest to him to do so.

I've no specific plans for him, though he does have an open post up for the month, and I'm debating on whether or not he finally wants to start trying to move up the chain of command, as it were. Oh! Also he has a real vested interest in dismantling Daybreak/Council/Redbright control in the city, so if anyone wants to help with that...

Heiji would absolutely be interested in breaking up or mitigating that control, especially since he believes Daybreak will take over south London if someone doesn't do something about it, so that's a possibility!

Also, Faust is no fan of them, either; he has no beef with Redbright but he really resents Daybreak/the Night Council for trying to prevent him from practicing his dark magics. Either dude seems like they might be able to help Eames out.

Azula | fae, Seelie Court

Character & background: Azula is a Seelie fae from an Asian court that spans several countries without belonging to any one place. She is, technically, in London to experience other cultures and expand on the political and social training her father and tutors have provided her with so far. She has rarely left Asia, but she has been around for 1500 years. She hails from the Dragon Court, which is made up entirely of fire and lightning based fae. She likes to make deals with humans and is usually fiar in what she asks for. However, trying to get out of a deal usually results in the forfeit of the soul of the person trying to back out of it.

Since Azula is a newcomer, she's only loosely connected with everything. She is a Seelie here, so she does consider herself part of the court. However, she's also aware she's still very much a foreigner.

Plans: Right now, Azula's getting her bearings. She's checking out the other factions, trying to decide where things stand. Which means she's not pleased with Redbright and Daybreak, as they're locking the Doors to the Other Realm. She's contemplating infiltrating Redbright come the fall term if she can manage to figure out a way for them to take her. Her hopes aren't high there.

The longer Azula is around, however, the higher her ambitions are going to rise. She has been trained to be a monarch and a conquerer, and she may eventually decide that she wants London for herself, at the very least as a Seelie. That's a long way down the road, but it's possible.

Wanted CR:
Allies: Azula is going to try and make "friends." That actual term will take a lot of work to get to, but she will play at being much more fond of someone than she actually is to get her way. Or to try and pass herself off as a witch or metahuman. Overall, Azula is going to try and worm her way into as many sects as she can so she has a fly on every wall.
Enemies: Naturally, Azula (when she really speaks her mind) is an abrasive personality, especially with anyone who proves to not be useful or who crosses her early on. I fully expect her to have a good deal of negative CR, especially as she begins setting her sights higher.
Victims: Azula very much likes power and having power over people. So she makes deals with mortals easily. Usually, she sets the stakes low. A few simple transactions to make herself seem much more trustworthy and easy to work with. As time wears on, however, her prices will increase or become more and more vague. So, of course, I'd love people who might be interested in dealing with her.

Elsa | Meta-Human

Background:
Elsa is a meta-human whose power is manipulation of snow and ice (just like the movie, imagine that). She's a Redbright graduate and is currently working on what I guess could be described as "grad school" at Redbright - she's continuing her studies and working as a teaching assistant. Having been thought of as a monster for most of her life, Elsa is really pro meta and the research that she's doing for her studies centers around the nature of meta-humans and why some people are born with powers and others are born "normal".

Plans:
I took a mini plot this month which I swear I'm going to do over the next few days which involves a meta-human using animals to hurt others. Elsa is going to investigate it and figure out who did it because she doesn't think that's very cool and she doesn't like it when metas do stuff that makes all of them look bad. So if you want in on that, please feel free. I'm going to put up a plot post in the OOC comm.

Other than that, not 100% sure at the moment.

Wanted CR:
Friends: Fellow Metas! Witches! Redbright students and personnel! Nerds! Anyone, really, as Elsa is pretty open to giving people a chance as long as they're not douchebags.
Enemies?: There are a few people that Elsa is :| about right now, but I wouldn't say she has any outright enemies at the moment. I'd say the people she would NOT like are assholes and people that use magic for really bad things, such as those that reflect badly on the supernatural community in general.

Liam O'Ryan | Vampire

Summary: Liam's new to London, or at least this is the first time he's been back since he's been turned! He was originally turned in Dublin and was dragged into the course of a vampire civil war, culminating in him eating his sire which he would very much like no one to pin to him. He's not sure how long he'll be in town, but he's looking to get the lay of the land and the conflicts here, currently.
Shared History: As noted, there's the whole mess in Ireland back just after World War I, and Liam himself ended up participating in the second World War (and a lot of the conflicts up to it) in a bunch of different armies because hey, no one's gonna question extra dead people in a war! He's been all over Europe (although only as far east as Moscow), so anywhere you think he might have run into someone is fair game. Although he's got a habit of faking his own death when he leaves places.

Plans/Desired CR:
I have no particular plans but to get settled into the game, and as mentioned, Liam's looking to get a sense of what's going on and London and how it works. So he can fuck with it better. That said, desired cr is then:

--Vampires! Or werewolves or hunters.
--Witches.
--Oh god, please give me people he can mess with constantly, he's a terrible person and horribly manipulative
--friends maybe???

Nancy "Fagin" | Witch | Circle Midnight

Hello everyone! Nancy here is an eighteen-year-old witch raised by fae. She's bright and friendly with an appetite for drinking. She's also pretty much everyone's mother, and once she decides she likes you, you'll never get rid of her. She's also got a great sense of humor and an easy way going.

Plans
None really! I'm just looking for general CR!

Shared CR
Nancy was raised by Fae as I mentioned. This guy, Fagin, is an awful person, and makes a living by fencing stolen goods, drugs, magical artifacts, and having children pick pockets for him. He's been doing it for CENTURIES so if there's any chance that recently your character would have had any dealings with him, it's quite possible they'd know Nancy, who was the only girl in his gang.

Nancy works at night as a prostitute, and a blood worker. So if your character is the sort that would hire a prostitute, feel free to use her. But more likely, they've probably fed off of her. Nancy prefers to keep this fact about her life private, except to her close friends. Currently the only person in-game to know that hasn't hired her for one reason or another is Kenzi. So.

I'm really up for anything, so drop me a line and we can get to plotting. I'd love some negative CR as well.

Question: It's reasonable that Faust would have heard of Fagin or even had dealings with him, given the sometimes unsavory nature of his deals. Do you want to set up something where they meet?

Ekko | League of Legends | Meta-human

Ekko is a meta-human Prefect at the Redbright Institute. His power is limited to rewinding time for four minutes, for now. His father is an outcast fae, and his mother is a normal human- they're both incredibly busy so they don't keep the greatest tabs on him. That said he still loves them, but his loyalties currently lie with Redbright.

He also grew up mostly on the streets running around with a gang. He probably would have been caught doing small time crime like shoplifting, but has rewound his way out of that.

Plans:

• Have him find a job.
  
• Visit the alleys and slums of London to check in on his old gang and pay his respects to the deceased.
  
• Possibly claim some territory for Redbright- Enfield
  
• If he gets enough points, upping his ability to rewinding six whole minutes. Alternatively, the more useful ability to take somebody along with him.

Desired CR:

• Friends, allies, enemies.
  
• Fellow students, teachers, people at the Redbright Institute.
  
• Anything would be good since he's just starting out.

Clara Seville | Redbright Affliated; Ghost

SUMMARY;; Clara is kind of an old ghost, having passed away in the 1990s, and used to originally haunt a coffee shop that used to be her apartment complex where she peacefully passed away. She's been around long enough to move around in different places now. She's pretty friendly. At the moment she's heavily in favour of the Redbright Institute due to her fondness for the waaaay younger ones and the fact her only living relative, Magra Seville, resides there to being a metahuman.

She's begun taking a more active role in the community these days in order to keep herself busy and from a desire to help people. Like becoming a security guard of sorts for Redbright to help them out with keeping an eye on the students. She also accidentally but willingly became a spy for Mab to give information she learns from her adventures here and there. Whoops but yay.

CR PLANS;;

→ SHAKEN, NOT STIRRED in Clara will try to be a spy for Mab by snooping around places she shouldn't be snooping around in to learn what others are up to. (Islington Nest territories, East End Pack territories, and places like that.)

→ LOOK, HANDS! in which I'm trying to figure it out what I want to go down: Either it's a typical day at the coffee shop or she gets chased by some mediums hoping to exorcise her thanks to the increased supernatural activity at her place in Harrow. This will be how she'll be getting her ghost gloves either way!

→ AND EVERYTHING NICE...ISH I'm hoping to aim for her to meet new people and forge more relationships, positive or not, with the new characters here! I'm also planning to flesh out more of the reasons why Clara is still lingering on the living side when, by all accounts, she should be at peace.

CR IDEAS;;

Some things I mentioned in the past that I'm interested in trying out in the future!

→ OLD CONNECTIONS because like I said she's been around for a looong time since she moved to London around the late 1960s - early 1970s. She would have had the ability to move beyond her haunting spot by the mid 2000s and began to really explore what's out there. I can see her making friends with mediums who wish her to do no harm or metahumans who aren't scared of her presence and even a fae or two if they so desire.

→ BACK IN THE DAY I would love for her to have met someone she knew in her youth to come back in her life now. Especially if she thought they were mortal like her but nope her old friend from before turned out to be a fae/vampire/etc and now she's a ghost. Funny how that works?

→ FULL OF SECRETS I'm already planning out Clara's desire to figure out what her unfinished business is and how to resolve it. It does, however, involve her being forced to face some facts about her family who she always likes to present as always nice and warm and loving when in reality of course they weren't that, not always. She doesn't want to but if she needs to move on, she needs to acknowledge some truths from before.

→ AND EVERYTHING ELSE HERE I'm so up for her having positive CR to negative CR. Clara isn't really part of a faction, heavily affiliated with Redbright but what can she really do about that, so she merrily floats around minding her own business so I can see her getting involved in things by accident or so.

Also - I know the TDM thread we did was pretty modern, but Maera's been very active in London since the 50s or 60s, so she could easily fall under old connections as well. If that's something we want to consider! :D

Maera Perkins | Unseelie Fairy

Character Summary: Maera here has been in London for almost 90 years. Born of a human father and fae mother, she's grown up with the Unseelie Court, working as a messenger and courier for the more important fae.

Plans: Maera's going to be busybusybusy with helping out lords and ladies for the Seelie Court's hunt. Even though the Unseelie Court is her home, she's happy to help out all different kinds of fae, and she loves hunts. So there's that. Other than that, I've got no plans!

CR Goals:
-- More Seelie/Unseelie contacts, obviously.
-- More friends who aren't fae.
-- Enemies? Or people who get on her nerves, at least?
-- Anything, really. :D

SO MAERA. I think between them Heiji and Maera will have a lot to talk about, as Heiji also wanders all over London. Plus they both seem to have interests when it comes to the human world, and he would absolutely want to know about her mom and dad.

As far as Faust goes, I think he'd be sort of curious about a fae courier, how does that work he thought they were all into the dark magics...

Mab is an Unseelie, the Lady of Air and Darkness. Mab assisted in the Bromely and Bexley takeovers and has been slowly adding to her own power base. She has a minion now (Grimalkin) and she has a spy. Also Mab does not like answering questions with straight answers. She's like a dragon with gold when it comes to information. That's kind of her thing. And it's making her really annoying to interact with, I know I'm trying to work with that LOL

Mab's strategy:
-Make people with potential aware that she can be useful to have in their corner and that she is open to making deals
-She'll want to claim a territory herself soon she she'll want allies.
-She is part of the fae that are allying with werewolves.
-She has finally started speaking to Vampires, it's still up in the air how she'll feel about them.

Long term goals:
-Become Winter Queen (she's not greedy or anything)
-Create an accords (this is very long term) in which options for duels to resolve disputes would exist and neutral territories (spaces like a cricket stadium or pub) where all factions could interact without fear of getting killed just for being around.

Arthur | Human Hunter

Arthur is an experienced human hunter who's been living and working in London for the past year or so, having been previously traveling with a witch and his wife as they conducted research around the world. He's more interested in learning about supernatural species than he is killing them, but he is very good at killing/incapacitating them.

My plans for him rn aren't going in a specific direction, I just want to get him some CR and see where it takes him! Ultimately I'd love for him to get involved in a faction struggle, whether it's between Hillingdon and someone else, or two other factions that he gets caught up with because he's so ~involved~.

DESIRED CR

• FACTION CONTACTS: I'd love to set up some contacts in different factions so that Arthur can get some intel moving. He'd like to have his finger on (or near) the pulse of all the faction movement in the city. Obviously this isn't going to be totally possible, but Arthur's pretty good at networking and he'd seek out people with insider information wherever possible.


• ANTAGONISTIC RELATIONSHIPS: I'm trash who loves conflict. I'd love to have at least a few relationships for Arthur where he has to have one hand on his gun whenever they meet, or where he has to emotionally prepare himself to throw down whenever this person walks into the bar. I don't want anyone out to kill him (since he's just a squishy human and can die pretty easily) but it's not like Arthur's always easy to get along with.


• ANYTHING ELSE!: Seriously I'm down for anything. Casual acquaintances, UST, people who think he's a pain in the ass. If you have an idea, I'm probably up for it.

It's hard to know if they'll get along or clash, but either way I could throw my characters at Arthur and see what happens!

Summary: Ringer's had a rough life and thus doesn't really smile or believe in fun. She approaches almost everything from a logical standpoint, though she can banter at times. Well trained as a hunter and a crack shot, but still fairly young and inexperienced in the grand scheme of things. Mostly just around to keep humans alive. She prefers not to resort to violence unless necessary and doesn't hate any specific race so much as she just doesn't like anyone whose goal is to hurt or kill humanity.

Plans: She's going to start trying to drum up more support in Hillingdon to unite the group a little better out of sheer necessity. Meanwhile, she's opposing various faction claims, trying to make some alliances, and getting all up in the supernatural peeps' grills.

CR Wanted:
- Friends. She sucks at friendship though oops.
- Mentors, bros, or other types who want to help work with her, educate her, and make her better at hunting or learning about the supernatural world.

Summary: Sylar's a volatile, immature, petulant tool and kind of a dick. He likes killing meta humans to take their powers and most of his life revolves around his powers and what a special snowflake he is. When he's not trying to kill someone or being challenged, he's actually a pretty chill dude and can even be nice or enjoyable company. It's just that inevitably he'll get all grumpy again sorry.

Plans: Just joined! So nothing specific yet really.

Wanted CR: Everything? Specifically, someone who wants to manipulate/use and abuse him is always fun (this can be done as a mentor or romantically mainly, harder otherwise but not impossible). Peeps who want to be attacked or someone who wants to try to kill him is cool. He's kind of overpowered so it's hard to do too much to him but I'm totes down for him being a punching bag where applicable.

Kenzi | Circle Midnight | Witch

Kenzi is 23 years old and a die-hard goth. She grew up in Canada, where she was raised by a family of dark / Circle Midnight witches who may or may not have also been involved in the Russian Mob, and has only recently transferred to London to escape Canadian law enforcement. She has been a thief for over twelve years and will continue to steal everything she can get her horrid little hands on.

CONCRETE PLANS:

• Fakey Treasure Hunt - So during Barnet Kenzi found a page in a book that gave her hints that it belonged to a very old, very powerful book that will enable her to preform high-level spells without being high-level herself. That she completely believes exists. Whether or not it's actually real is still very up in the air, but I intend on having this be a B plot for her until it loses momentum. If you're interested in Kenzi suckering you into this wild goose chase one way or another - let me know!


• Around Halloween I intend on having Kenzi do something really stupid. Like try to summon a Fae in Abigail's Geap Manor, only to have the resident Fae there open her up for rampent possession as a warning not to fuck with things that are above her. It'll last 3 nights, while during the day she'll be free of whatever is squatting inside her, before he lets her go and it'll come as close to killing her as he can get without actually killing her.
  
  I'm planning on this being a pretty violent possession and I'd love to get her close CR in on this to try and help out - if this sounds interesting to you, let me know!

IFFY PLANS:

• So recently (or still in progress, however you want to measure it) Kenzi robbed the vampire staked victim, Carmilla, of last month's vampire hunting plot which was headed by Tetra. I asked if Kenzi could loot her abandoned lair and got permission to do so! I would like, very much, to have a vampire or Islington Nest ally to try and reclaim the goods Kenzi stole. If that sounds like your cup of tea, I'd love to plan something out!
  
• Do you have a lawful good or law enforcement type who needs a criminal to chase around? Kenzi is your girl! I really want someone to play fox and hound with her and, in the long run, run her aground and make her have to basically start over from scratch / abandon her little black market empire.
  
  This would be a long-haul plot, and I'm not planning on it coming to a head before Christmas. Let me know if you'd be interested in doing this or apping in a character who would!

DESIRED CR:

• Aforementioned lawful good or law enforcement type! I want the tenacious cop / good guy to Kenzi's tenacious horrible thief.


• Old boyfriends / Prospective new boyfriends. Granted this is a hard one to fill, and I would ideally like the characters to have some chemistry before we even start thinking about making this a thing (past or present tense). But obviously, sometimes you just know, so if you think one of your boys would be a good match for Kenzi let me know!


• Competition in the black market / customers / business partners, ect. Kenzi is in deep in this community, so I'd love to get some CR going.


• Fae for her to get in deep with. KENZI IS QUEEN OF BAD LIFE CHOICES, so naturally I want her to get in over her head in favors with Fae. We can figure out how this actually works, but yes. This.

Killian Jones/Captain Hook — Once Upon a Time

Hook is a fairly old vampire, he's been in and around London for most of the past two centuries, and he's new just like me. so be gentle y'all! his app is here. he's a charismatic asshole, currently an earl in the islington nest, but he's a bit of a schemer and I'm not sure that he'll stay there forever. since he hasn't been in game until now I'm saying he was out of town for a few months and he just got back recently, to explain why he wasn't poking about until now!

BASIC PLANS:
So far, he's pretty new and I don't have much if any. Gonna take this first month to feel the waters so to speak. In the long term I'd like him to make his own faction, based on his "code", and making allies for him to aide in that task. he's also looking for a powerful magical item and could hire characters to look for it/ find it for him.

CR IDEAS:
— a sire! he's very close to her and it can be as friendly or toxic as we want it to be. only specification needed is that she's older than he is.
— friends he's secured already. it doesn't matter what you are, he'll make an alliance with you. except for werewolves, though, f*** werewolves.
— vampires. literally, I want him to know all vampires in game, so get at me.
— immortal connections. he's not the oldest in the game but he's close to 400. so connections he's kept for a long time would be great!

We've already discussed Henry and Killian (or are in the process of discussing, but hey. details.) But Abby is also keen to make nice with vampires because... Well. She's establishing a new coven that goes against all the Way Things Are.

The Widdowsons are a family that was around in the Tudor age, so Killian probably at least knows the family (both big supernatural players as well as financially and socially [until recently]) by proxy. And might know that Bad Things tend to happen to Widdowsons.

Snake | 999 | Redbright

Snake aka Light Averly is 24 years old and recently came to London to teach and research physics at university. He's extremely smart and dignified and has very little patience for people who think less of him because of his handicaps. He can read minds but not in the traditional sense. His mind's like a radio that mostly hears static but every so often if the signal from other people is strong enough, he can read thoughts. He cannot, however, project his own thoughts. Mostly Snake keeps his mind shielded and doesn't really use his talent that much, which I'd like to change.

He gained his powers because of a chance encounter with a fae that saved his life as a child.

Basic Plans
Although he is affiliated with Redbright, my idea is that he'd have to be really persuaded to learn about them. He didn't really mix with any of the supernatural in Washington State as his parents, both human, wanted to protect him. Snake would like to learn more about the physics of powers. It's going to be a challenge to get him to really be comfortable with his powers as he considers them a crutch and he cannot STAND those.

Also, he needs some friends, even though he'd rather shoot himself in the foot than admit that. If you came from near Washington State, you might have heard of Snake as the accident that handicapped him came complete with a lurid trial that revealed all kinds of juicy things and left bad blood between his family and his assailant's family.

Since he's kind of new to all supernaturals, he'd be open to making friends with all of them and drawing his own conclusions.

Anyone who'd like to go harass Snake because of handicaps, go nuts. He will react in kind. Snake likes negative CR as well and positive.

Obviously, Heiji's totally down to be friends with Snake, and I think once he finds out Snake works for Redbright, he could definitely help with getting him more comfortable with his powers.
