CR Planning: July 2015

Welcome to the Underground! Newbies, we're very excited to have you! As mentioned in the calendar, there will be a welcome log posted on the 19th for newbies and current players alike to mingle. However, don't feel that you can't post until then, feel free to jump in right away! In the meantime, this post is a free-for-all for everyone to make new CR and figure out how to get involved with the game.

You can use this post to:

• Discuss your character's background history with other players and make changes where needed.
• Work out shared history with canonmates and build in cross-canon CR.
• Say what kind of CR you're looking for and reply to others to offer CR.
• Say hi to the members of your faction and discuss your in-game strategy.
• Think about what territories you might want to make a claim on.

The plotting post for July is still live with a couple of prompts left to claim, so please do feel free to use it!

I also want to add a quick reminder about the HMD meme that went up a couple of days ago, and in particular my request for feedback on the game. I've had a lot of great feedback already and am very happy to hear more suggestions, whether you've just joined or you've been around since the beginning. I will be starting to make the changes discussed from this weekend onwards, and more input is always welcome.

Heiji | Detective Conan | Seelie fae

Summary: Heiji is a Seelie fae who was sent to London ostensibly to watch and learn how foreign courts do things. Because of the people he's met and the things he's seen, however, he's decided to take a more active role in trying to change things up a bit, especially for the fae. Even if that means he occasionally gets smashed through a car windshield.
Shared History: He hasn't been in London for that long, but he tends to meet a lot of people, so I'd be happy to set something up! Also if your character is from Japan, hit me up :x.
CR: Interfactional alliances, of course! Heiji is a staunch ally and always on the lookout for new friends to make the fae's lives a little easier. I'm also particularly interested in Heiji interacting with factions/species that the fae aren't all that cozy with. Example: vampires, as he barely knows any and thus might change his opinion on them as a whole. Seelie/Unseelie CR is also great, wolves are great, etc. In general, Heiji's a chatty, cheerful sort, so if you need some disgusting optimism in your life or just someone to talk your character's ear off, well.

Topics I'm interested in exploring:
-Nature themes, e.g. progress vs preservation
-Challenging his perceptions of other groups/species and vice versa
-Fae/human relationships will be another theme in the future I think.
Faction/Strategy Stuff: Talk to me, nerds B). He's mostly interested in counterbalancing Circle Daybreak so they can't take over South London.

First of all, would you like to keep these two's TDM thread as game canon?

And second of all, what exactly about fae/human relationships do you want to explore, because Maera here is willing to talk forever about her parents to Heiji if he wants to listen.

Yeeeees, I would love that forever. And secondly, Heiji would love to listen to Maera's stories about her parents!

In general, he's always sort of had the opinion that fae/human relationships (at least the romantic ones) just don't work out very well, though of course he mostly sees it from the fae side of things. He's had a few relatives that tried it, and things Just Didn't Work Out, so I think that conversation could be really interesting. If Maera has had a more positive experience, or even a more negative one, I think that'd be cool to explore :)

He'll get an interesting viewpoint from Maera because her parents' love story was the 'legendary romance' type. They were very much in love for the years that her father was alive, and both were very supportive parents to her. So she has nothing but super, super positive things to say about fae/human relationships, at least from her experience. She's a bit naive that way, in that she's blind to the fact that fae/human relationships don't always work out as her parents' did.

Maera is an out-of-the-closet, gushing-all-over-the-place romantic when the topic comes up, so you know. They'll make quite the pair.
