CR Planning: July 2015

Welcome to the Underground! Newbies, we're very excited to have you! As mentioned in the calendar, there will be a welcome log posted on the 19th for newbies and current players alike to mingle. However, don't feel that you can't post until then, feel free to jump in right away! In the meantime, this post is a free-for-all for everyone to make new CR and figure out how to get involved with the game.

You can use this post to:

• Discuss your character's background history with other players and make changes where needed.
• Work out shared history with canonmates and build in cross-canon CR.
• Say what kind of CR you're looking for and reply to others to offer CR.
• Say hi to the members of your faction and discuss your in-game strategy.
• Think about what territories you might want to make a claim on.

The plotting post for July is still live with a couple of prompts left to claim, so please do feel free to use it!

I also want to add a quick reminder about the HMD meme that went up a couple of days ago, and in particular my request for feedback on the game. I've had a lot of great feedback already and am very happy to hear more suggestions, whether you've just joined or you've been around since the beginning. I will be starting to make the changes discussed from this weekend onwards, and more input is always welcome.

Mab is an Unseelie, the Lady of Air and Darkness. Mab assisted in the Bromely and Bexley takeovers and has been slowly adding to her own power base. She has a minion now (Grimalkin) and she has a spy. Also Mab does not like answering questions with straight answers. She's like a dragon with gold when it comes to information. That's kind of her thing. And it's making her really annoying to interact with, I know I'm trying to work with that LOL

Mab's strategy:
-Make people with potential aware that she can be useful to have in their corner and that she is open to making deals
-She'll want to claim a territory herself soon she she'll want allies.
-She is part of the fae that are allying with werewolves.
-She has finally started speaking to Vampires, it's still up in the air how she'll feel about them.

Long term goals:
-Become Winter Queen (she's not greedy or anything)
-Create an accords (this is very long term) in which options for duels to resolve disputes would exist and neutral territories (spaces like a cricket stadium or pub) where all factions could interact without fear of getting killed just for being around.

If anyone gets severely hurt and wants to owe Mab or become her vassal let me know I'm all over that.

I'd also like to meet people Mab hasn't met yet. So yes. :)

Well, Mab. This sweet, darling, innocent girl may well become something as an ally. Mab wants Winter Queen, Azula will eventually want Summer Queen, so it's all good.

So yeah, I'm enjoying the old vs new vibe these guys have been working and I think that's actually been progressing fine without any planning unless you had something specific in mind! Do you have a specific date or anything in mind for the territory thing?

ALSO in terms of Faust, let's work out something for them? I'm sure at least one of his abilities ought to be useful for Mab...

LOL they're starting to feel like estranged brother and sister. I'm cool with how things are progressing too. I figure August ish for a territory claim if she does Havering, September if she goes for Enfield or Lewisham (she'll want more minions and allys for territories that might blow up in her face)

What are you talking about she can use ALL his skills. She just has to find a good enough carrot to dangle. What can she do for him?

Oh, crap, I forgot to mention! Derek said that the wolves want Havering, so although no specific promises are made, we should be sure to let them know IC if that's what's happening.

But in any case, Mab can pretty much count on the support of either Heiji or his minions, depending on how things are looking for the month (one or the other I'd like to leave free for dealing with any possible challenges to existing territory).

Also, it depends 8). ICly, Faust is interested in learning more and better magics, especially high-level arcane and dark magics, so if Mab would have any knowledge of those gained over the years, she could teach him some things? Alternatively, he'd appreciate items that could be useful for casting magic, like a staff or something.

Double alternatively, she could offer his clinic some protection, like have Grimalkin run off some dude trying to wreck his place at some point. He'd be very grateful for that! Faust is a little eccentric, but he does honor his debts.

Ahh well depending on how much support she can dredge up then she'll try to go for one of the other two either August (if she can get a lot) or September (if she has less) She'd have to fight Ekko for Enfield I think.

Mab... Mab has a lot of knowledge. I don't know how much Faust will like her teaching methods (they generally involve a lot of trying not to die horribly). But he doesn't have to know that till she starts in on him and already has a deal made LMFAO.

Oh, that would be nice. She'll have to find a reason to meet him.

I know we talked about this before on that prospective meme, but just to say it again - Maera would totally be willing to run errands for Mab! I'd be down for this developing into something more - Maera getting delicate info / spying for Mab - if you'd be interested in that.

I have to find reasons for her to run errands. I'm sure we can work some stuff out.

Yes, perfect :D And Maera will run any errands, even the most weird sounding, no questions asked. That's what makes her the best. \o/

So Eames is definitely getting the feeling that Mab is a powerful ally to have. He's no Lea (on account of loyalty being a nonsensical concept to him, amongst other things,) but he'd definitely be willing to support her interests so long as it doesn't become too inconvenient.

So he'll help with her territory claim? Because she'd be pleased about that. So long as he isn't actively working to undermine her they'll be ok. She is Unseelie, she kind of expects a little fluidity in alliances. (Backstabbing is pretty much par for the course in her canon)
