So very late about doing this-- but hello! My name is Audrey, and I bring you, Captain Homer Jackson: yankee, snake oil sawbones, card-fixer, whoremonger, and a surprisingly brilliant doctor under all that stupid!

 

He's from Ripper Street, a Victorian-era crime procedural, set a couple months after the Ripper murders. He's Inspector Reid's pet loud-mouth American, and serves as his surgeon, crime scene analyst, and chemist all-in-one.

I've transposed him to modern day, but you'll still find Jackson working for the police in Whitechapel. By day, he's a forensic pathologist. After hours, he's a witch, who splits his time between getting drunk and sleeping around, coming up with quick schemes to get money, and hiding from his vampire enemies in America.

Hello! If Jackson's a forensic pathologist, he and Heiji might have run into each other :). He's not a policeman, of course, being a fae, but he does work with the police on occasion.

Also if you want to work anything into the vampire plot, let me know. Some of the minions have Carmilla's sigil on their clothing, for instance, which might help someone with the right resources figure out who it is ahead of time.

What sort of case would he be working on? I wouldn't mind coming up with some pre-existing CR, even if they were just acquaintances.

At this point, Jackson's staying away from all matters vampires, considering his last run in with bloodsuckers, but-- he's definitely keeping an eye open... especially since they sorta run Whitechapel.

Heiji specializes in murder cases, but occasionally ends up involved in kidnapping/arson/others. Particularly weird ones, in which someone's car explodes while they're driving it or ends up hung from an impossible height or something :)

Then there's definitely a chance that they might've met. Jackson and his division are involved in a variety of strange cases-- exploding bookstores, serial killer victims with their kidneys cut out...

Maybe H division's lent him out to do forensics on what of Heiji's cases?

Why, those are the very best kinds of cases! But yeah, that sounds excellent, and all the better if Jackson is used to the job! For some reason, people are really loathe to discuss missing kidneys....

Anyway, I LOVE Ripper Street! I haven't started S3 yet because I've been epicly lazy about TV lately, but it's all on my DVR. I really want to throw Elsa at him because I love the show so much and you don't see many people playing from it. She's an ally of Circle Daybreak so they might at least be acquaintances.

At this point, he's only a member of Daybreak in name only. He doesn't really mingle or attend any supernatural parties with respectable people. BUT there's no reason why we can't figure out a way for them to meet! It'd be fun to come up with something.

That's fine. If you want I can just keep an eye open for an open post of his and then kind of roll with whatever you've got up there. I'm pretty good at coming up with random stuff based on what I'm given. I'm assuming that she will not know that he is a witch though? (Since they've never met.)

Hahaha, every time Jackson tries to do more, he somehow gets himself into trouble. But his tension with the supernatural/magic is something I'd love to play out. ♥
