CR Planning: May 2015

Welcome to the Underground! As promised, this is a follow-up post for players who have been accepted into the game to discuss your characters' AU backgrounds with canonmates and other characters, and to establish pre-existing CR (character relations). Feel free to revise your character's history as appropriate to fit in with other characters in the game.

You can use this post to:

• Discuss your character's background history with other players and make changes where needed.
• Work out shared history with canonmates and build in cross-canon CR.
• Say what kind of CR you're looking for and reply to others to offer CR.
• Say hi to the members of your faction and begin discussing your in-game strategy.
• Start thinking about what territories you might want to make a claim on.

There will be a plotting post on the 18th where you can stake your territory claims for the opening month of the game, choose a prompt from a list of plots and start planning the events listed in the calendar.

Read the factions page to remind yourself who your allies and enemies are, then take a sneaky look at the territories map as it currently stands and have a think about your faction's goals. Do you want to make an aggressive grab for power? Sit tight and defend the territories you've already got? Play nice and build alliances with other factions? There's no right or wrong way to play: the tactics employed by your faction are completely up to you.

As before, this is a player-led discussion, but I'm happy to answer any questions. Happy planning, and I look forward to playing with everyone when the game opens!

Looking for:

• A JOB - I was thinking about giving Eren a part-time job of some sort. If anyone needs an employee/coworker... If I don't get any bites, I'll probably just make something up for him on my own, but it'd be fun to work with someone, you know?


• Vampire CR - negative CR is always fun (I love playing out fight scenes!), but Eren's so convinced that all vampires are evil that it might also be interesting for him to meet a vamp that makes him start questioning that black and white worldview of his.


• Parental figure type people - Eren's relationship with his dad is shaky, so it'd be nice to have someone Eren can honestly look up to. I'm a sucker for the "makeshift family" trope.


• Friends his own age - Eren probably doesn't have many, but the few he does can expect extreme loyalty.


• Moonlight Jewelry - Someone who can make it or has the connections to secure some.


• Werewolf shenanigans


• Anything - Just... anything.

Moonlight jewelry commissions are right up Ginko's alley. He's a reluctant parental type with "all life is precious" worldview in tow, too, so if they meet on a witch-for-hire basis, that might go somewhere interesting!

Oh gosh, yes! That would be lovely! Someone like Ginko would be a good influence on Eren in so many ways.

After the first commission, Eren will probably continue to seek Ginko out whenever he needs a witch, so we can slow-build it from there.

If Eren would like a coworker, Heiji's part-timing at a cafe in Barnet! It would be kind of awkward though because Heiji likes working there but... werewolf coworker...

I have no idea if Eren's any good at being a waiter but it might be fun even if he was terrible at it.

This... would be perfect. And by perfect, I mean terrible in all of the right ways. I'm going to have to take you up on that offer!

Sure! I was envisioning something like they have in the Detective Conan cafe. Basic black and white waiter's uniform.

I hope Eren's good at flirting with the customers...

Aww, that looks adorable. I snooped around the locations page and saw cafe's description, too. It seems like such a fun place to work!

But pffffft. Flirting with customers? Heiji might have to teach Eren some techniques.

You have a good one planned? Eren would probably act annoyed at first, but then he'd start to get into the idea of coming up with a retaliation prank.

Possibly! But Heiji wouldn't try it if it would really bother Eren, because while he's mischievous, he's not generally an asshole.

Hehe, then perhaps we can save it for after they've bonded a bit. Once they're buddies, it'd be all good. Though there would still be cute retaliation pranks.

At best, Derek is likely to be a really bad older brother figure. Since losing two younger siblings, he may well gravitate to Eren in that kind of way even if he'd never think about it that way.

And as we're the werewolf contingent I think there definitely needs to be werewolf shenanigans right?

I would love that! Strength, skill and knowledge-wise, I can definetly see Eren starting to look up to Derek. Expect him to come to him for advice or help learning werewolfy stuff.

Also: I don't even know what qualifies as werewolf shenanigans but I'm sure we'll figure it out as we go. Maybe they can fight vampires together or take in a stray corgi as part of their pack or something. WE SHALL SEE.

Also now that you've mentioned it I'm completely into the idea of the stray corgi AND the vampire fighting. ALL OF THE ABOVE it's all important to being a werewolf or smth.

Her main agenda is going to be cause of Circle Midnight. Since the law's against them, Redbright's against them, and they have no territory to speak of... They're her pet project. And not just because she's part of them.
