Why hello again, [community profile] undergrounds!

This is Teresa! I already play one character here, Faolan ([personal profile] reticence) in Hillingdon clan. I now bring you John Childermass, from Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell!

Childermass is a member of Norrell's coven in Circle Daybreak. This is because he is Mr Norrell's servant and had very little choice in the matter. He is pragmatic, sarcastic, and more than a little bit sassy. He's from some of the lowest rungs of society, but he's smart and a natural magical talent -- if he could, he would be someone. He still does aspire to more than he is (Norrell's man), although he has a lot more power in that household than any other servant in any other house ever will. He has to follow Norrell's orders and act out against the people Norrell dislikes and mistrusts. But he doesn't have to like it.

He lives in the same house as Norrell does, as he manages the man's affairs, and is a good 'in' to society with Norrell himself as well. Beware, though. For all that he thinks the little man insufferable, he would not hesitate to kill for him, and/or cross lines that Norrell himself might frown on in order to achieve his goals.

If you would like to have had previous CR with Childermass, let me know and we can definitely work something out together! :) I look forward to playing him against you guys soon!!

Hello!

This is Lancelot's player bringing you Gilbert Norrell, of Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell!

He is a Coven Leader in Circle Daybreak, and a tedious little man who dislikes most of everything.

He is also reasonably outspoken about his opinions! So, if you would like to have an existing friendship or feud with Norrell do let me know! His prime dislike is fae, but equally he feels Circle Midnight give English Witches a bad name with all that wild dangerous magic.

He lives in Mayfair (in Westminster) and probably writes a great deal of letters to the Night Council informing them of his desire to help and his many ideas to improve things (largely by banning other things).

It's worth noting: although he is a largely distasteful man Norrell has a lot of influence, a huge library of books and is a reliable friend once you get past his prickly nature. He's just not used to having friends or sharing. Or 'Team Work'.
