CR Planning: June 2015

Welcome to the Underground! Newbies, we're very excited to have you! This post is both a CR meme and a general update about what's happening in the game, so please do read and feel free to ask any questions.

You can use this post to:

• Discuss your character's background history with other players and make changes where needed.
• Work out shared history with canonmates and build in cross-canon CR.
• Say what kind of CR you're looking for and reply to others to offer CR.
• Say hi to the members of your faction and discuss your in-game strategy.

Newbies, are you wondering how to get started? The plotting post for June is still live, and there's room to jump in! Here are some plots in the works that are open to join:

• Throwing a Midnight party at Geap Manor (1st July, Abigail Widdowson)

There will also be some new game information to be added this month: the Elites, a list of the most influential characters in each faction. These will be exclusively made up of level 4 or 5 ranking characters, and therefore to start off this page will be populated by NPCs. The twist? They'll be made up by you, so that you can put a name and a face to your faction leaders. Look out for an OOC post on that soon.

SUMMARY;; Clara is a friendly ghost who has been haunting London since the 1990s! Originally an apartment complex, her haunting spot is now a trendy coffee shop and she's been around long enough to gain control of her powers to leave her original domain and explore the city. Can you blame her not wanting to be stuck in a Starbucks-esque place 24/7 can you I thought so. She spends most of her time hanging out with people she likes and fussing over her only living relative/anchor left, Magra Seville who is part of the Redbright Institute due to being a metahuman. Meaning yes Clara likes to go the school at times to check on her.

CR PLANS;;

→ THE CLINIC in which she helps Dr. Henry Morgan in solving the mystery of the suspiciously nice clinic that people are claiming can do miracle cures. She's spying on it and will be reporting back what she finds there because she can't help but have this nagging doubt about what it claims it really is.

→ BLOODY COUNTESS in which she ends up involved in it when Magra is kidnapped by Carmilla before the final showdown with her. She panics and causes trouble with her powers when her emotions overwhelm her, attracting people's attention. Heiji, Eren, and Clara are going to rescue the poor girl while later on Dr. Henry Morgan will check up on Magra after for wounds or signs of injuries. I just like making Clara sad okay.

→ ANCHORS AWAY in which she and Aradia try to learn more about ghostly things like anchors and then some to learn more about themselves. I hear ghostly hipster music playing in the distance as I type this.

→ AND EVERYTHING NICE...ISH I'm hoping to aim for her to meet new people and forge more relationships, positive or not, with the new characters here! I'm also planning to flesh out more of the reasons why Clara is still lingering on the living side when, by all accounts, she should be at peace.

CR IDEAS;;

Some things I mentioned in the past that I'm interested in trying out in the future!

→ OLD CONNECTIONS because like I said she's been around for a looong time since she moved to London around the late 1960s - early 1970s. She would have had the ability to move beyond her haunting spot by the mid 2000s and began to really explore what's out there. I can see her making friends with mediums who wish her to do no harm or metahumans who aren't scared of her presence and even a fae or two if they so desire.

→ SPYING POTENTIAL because I love the idea of a ghostly little old granny taking notes of a conversation and relaying the information to her handler and then going, 'And they didn't wash their hands when they came out of the stall. Just headed straight back to the table and touched the tea. I never.' But seriously -- I would love for her to be involved in the game and her being a spy for a faction would be a good way for her to enter. Since she's a ghost, she's invisible to most people and she has a great memory meaning she can remember a lot of stuff to give back to people. This can be either with her consent, for Redbright's sake or for her friends, or against her will, someone threatening to hurt her loved ones or binding her to do their bidding. I'm up for it going either way!

→ TOO SPOOKY because sometimes Clara has bad days and she loses control of her powers when she's in the coffeeshop, causing the lightbulbs to go out and machines to break and things like that. Anyone is welcomed to investigate these matters since this is kind of a regular happening at her shop and the shop itself has a reputation of being haunted ever since it opened.

→ AND EVERYTHING ELSE HERE I'm so up for her having positive CR to negative CR. Clara isn't really part of a faction, heavily affiliated with Redbright but what can she really do about that, so she merrily floats around minding her own business so I can see her getting involved in things by accident or so.

Holy yes ghost spy. We have got to get her and Mab to meet. Which we will even if Mab can't make her a spy. But still, now I feel all greedy. Is it bad that Mab doesn't care what faction anyone is with? LOL I'm sure once she's into more of the politics it will make more of a difference.

Ghost spies are the best spies. You don't need to pay them or give them health/dental insurance! \ o /

Aw yeah that'll be awesome. I'm totally up for them meeting somehow and Clara being a spy for Mab of all fae too because that will end well for everyone, clearly. Maybe Clara finds herself in debt to her somehow and thus has to return a Favour? That could be a way for ghostly spying to be happening.

Otherwise I'm sooo excited to see Mab and she's been nothing but great with how she's been doing here in my opinion so those are my thoughts. ♥♥

You're right that's definitely the best kind of spy :)

HAHA yes it will end well for everyone! Mab could certainly protect a child in front of her,or intervene in something that Clara cannot.

I'm so glad you like her! It's hard to keep her in character and make her very social LOL

I really like the idea of her intervening in something that Clara can't thanks to her ghostliness preventing her from doing a lot of things. Like. Holding stuff. That would be a great way to get things started!

And I can't wait to see more of Man in the future! She's awesome. \ o / If I ever see an open post of her or an option to tag her in a thread floating around, you can definitely count me in on joining tat.

But yeah, I was thinking for the kidnapping thing, maybe she can do recon and blow out the lights or something, thus making a distraction so they can get to Magra? Maybe toss things around some and such?

I love Clara so looking forward to all of it :)

SHE CAN SURVIVE BECAUSE HEIJI AND THE OTHERS CAN SURVIVE. SHE BELIEVES IN THEM.

Ohhh that'll be awesome. I'm totally willing to have Clara do that so that gives the others a chance to grab Magra and book it out of there.
