CR Planning: June 2015

Welcome to the Underground! Newbies, we're very excited to have you! This post is both a CR meme and a general update about what's happening in the game, so please do read and feel free to ask any questions.

You can use this post to:

• Discuss your character's background history with other players and make changes where needed.
• Work out shared history with canonmates and build in cross-canon CR.
• Say what kind of CR you're looking for and reply to others to offer CR.
• Say hi to the members of your faction and discuss your in-game strategy.
• Think about what territories you might want to make a claim on.

Newbies, are you wondering how to get started? The plotting post for June is still live, and there's room to jump in! Here are some plots in the works that are open to join:

Vampire & hunter shenanigans
• The Bloody Countess (20th June, Heiji Hattori)

Fae shenanigans
• Litha Feast: aka kidnapped by the Seelie (21st June, Heiji Hattori)
• Missing teens: aka who got kidnapped by the Seelie (in-progress, Pel Lavellan)

Witchy shenanigans
• Forming a Circle Midnight coven (25th June, Abigail Widdowson)
• Throwing a Midnight party at Geap Manor (1st July, Abigail Widdowson)

There will also be some new game information to be added this month: the Elites, a list of the most influential characters in each faction. These will be exclusively made up of level 4 or 5 ranking characters, and therefore to start off this page will be populated by NPCs. The twist? They'll be made up by you, so that you can put a name and a face to your faction leaders. Look out for an OOC post on that soon.

So, Mab is new to the game as of last week. She is a winter fae who isn't great at pop culture. She is spending a lot of time networking right now. But I hope to expand on that soon.

Here's what she wants to do (or I want her to do) in the next month or two:

• Lend some assistance in the territory claims, to give her some goodwill with her fellow fae (and because it benefits her)
• Attending Heiji's little get together.
• Establish a home for herself in the Other Realm
• Start meeting non fae who will be useful to her.
• She will eventually want to move up to Lady of Winter, but I want to get a feel for things before I really dig in and start trying to accumulate heavy power (ie: get a few minions and make more connections)
• Get herself some minions, specifically Grimalkin (A lynx size fae cat)

CR I'm looking for:

• If you have something said out in public that a pixie might overhear let me know if you want the info passed on to Mab. Gimme all your secrets *grabby hands*
• Meet any Fae she hasn't yet met.
• I would love for her to save someone's life, just for word to get out that she can. You would have to swear loyalty to her, though she might let the wording be sketchy so you can wiggle out of it. It helps her own ends right now. And you'll owe her a Favor just fair warning. Also it'll hurt like hell. But if anyone gets hurt in an upcoming territory dispute or something else let me know if you want assistance.
• She still wants to meet anyone with powers.
• She needs a BFF. Not because they'll actually be her friend but some human she can dupe into service of taking her stupid places like cafes and clubs and other places so she can fail miserably at being human while learning to be human-like.
• Anyone who wants to have known of her before anywhere or wants to have a history with her, let me know :)
• I'm free for other ideas! I'm kind of wiped out as I just got off work so my brain isn't as creative as it might be.

I'd definitely like to do something with Wanda and Mab, since Wanda's still unaware she's not a meta human and is, in fact, fae.

We might even be able to work something out with the life-saving. It wouldn't get out with Wanda, since she'd keep that kind of information to herself, but it might be something we could do?

Oh! Oh yes. I would love to work with you on all the things! I was worried Wanda might be even more standoffish than Abigail and I was afraid to scare away both your characters LOL. Mab would definitely be able to tell she was Fae, it would give her a bargaining chip at the very least.

Wanda's more confrontational than Abby, but she's definitely not nearly as skittish. So, she might not hit it off immediately with Mab, but she won't scare!

If Mab wants Pel to owe her a favor, Pel has a lot of death threats from some Circle Midnight people.

Oh certainly. Mab is good at protection. Though Pel might have to summon her when in need or give her a way into the Other Realm. Would that put her in the bad graces of her current company?
