CR Planning: June 2015

Welcome to the Underground! Newbies, we're very excited to have you! This post is both a CR meme and a general update about what's happening in the game, so please do read and feel free to ask any questions.

You can use this post to:

• Discuss your character's background history with other players and make changes where needed.
• Work out shared history with canonmates and build in cross-canon CR.
• Say what kind of CR you're looking for and reply to others to offer CR.
• Say hi to the members of your faction and discuss your in-game strategy.
• Think about what territories you might want to make a claim on.

Newbies, are you wondering how to get started? The plotting post for June is still live, and there's room to jump in! Here are some plots in the works that are open to join:

Vampire & hunter shenanigans
• The Bloody Countess (20th June, Heiji Hattori)

Fae shenanigans
• Litha Feast: aka kidnapped by the Seelie (21st June, Heiji Hattori)
• Missing teens: aka who got kidnapped by the Seelie (in-progress, Pel Lavellan)

Witchy shenanigans
• Forming a Circle Midnight coven (25th June, Abigail Widdowson)
• Throwing a Midnight party at Geap Manor (1st July, Abigail Widdowson)

There will also be some new game information to be added this month: the Elites, a list of the most influential characters in each faction. These will be exclusively made up of level 4 or 5 ranking characters, and therefore to start off this page will be populated by NPCs. The twist? They'll be made up by you, so that you can put a name and a face to your faction leaders. Look out for an OOC post on that soon.

Clive Dove - Human, Redbright

Clive is a member of the outreach group at Redbright Institute as well as an investigative journalist who is a London native, but has only known about the supernatural world for a few years. Feel free to check out his app for the full rundown on his character, plus his permissions post.

I just got accepted today so I don't have a whole lot of plans yet, but one thing I know for sure is that he's going to be at the Litha feast on the 21st as an unwilling contestant. I'm going to assume that he was kidnapped by an NPC fae by default, but if anyone wants to play the role of his kidnapper then feel free to hit me up for that!

Otherwise I'm totally open to any and all shared or fresh CR. Some specific types of CR that I'm looking for, but definitely not limited to these:

• Fellow humans, journalists, or Redbright employees/allies
  
• Black market types, human or supernatural
  
• Drinking buddies or even gambling buddies, Clive likes to hang out at casinos sometimes
  
• Any supernatural troublemakers that Clive can harass/has harassed in the past

I'm still flailing around everywhere and trying to figure out what the fuck I'm doing so we can start with a simple picnic date! On Sunday maybe? He'd only have time to do something like that on a weekend anyway so.

Clive and Henry will get along so much.

Henry's got a past as a medical examiner and semi-detective, so he'll love an investigative journalist, and he works at Redbright as it stands, so. We'll need to have them interact soon.

Yes, definitely! We could probably even assume that they've met on campus already. Henry would definitely be a very useful ally for Clive to have.

I can offer Sirius for being a supernatural troublemaker for Clive to harass?

Possibly! What kind of trouble does Sirius usually cause, exactly?

Well, right now, existing. On account of being an escaped murderer (though he was framed).

hahaha, poor guy... It says in Sirius's app that he was incarcerated for 12 years, so I'm guessing the murder took place around then too? Clive was only 11 at the time so I doubt he'd recognize Sirius from the news reports back then, but if there'd be any about him escaping from prison then that could work. Though fortunately for Sirius, Clive wouldn't go out of his way to rat him out to the police anyway because he has a very deep distrust for the legal system in general and would prefer not to deal with them at all (plus he's done a lot of illegal shit himself that he doesn't want the police to know about), but he might give him a friendly warning if he catches him doing anything suspicious.

In fact, Clive could probably even sympathize with Sirius's situation, especially with his quest for revenge, so if Sirius plays his cards right Clive might even be willing to help him out with whatever he needs.

That works for me. Though it does rely on Sirius to actually play his cards right.

There would have been reports on his escape and possibly a bounty on his head.
