Announcement & Planning for End Game
Hey everyone, it's Sky here. With this post I am making an official announcement that the game will be closed as of end October. As you can imagine, this was not an easy decision to make but I have taken the time to reflect since the previous State of the Game post and to give you the chance to express your view too.
Closing the game
First of all, I want to say that it's been a great two and a half years. Running this game has been a pleasure and it has been especially rewarding to see you guys take the premise and run with it. I think we created something very unique together, and I want to thank all of you for joining in and making the game such a fun experience. It's your enthusiasm and creativity that has kept this game running for as long as it has.
Thank you to everyone who commented to the SotG post. I appreciated everything that you had to say and I know that a number of you did hope that the game could continue. I haven't been approached by anyone who wants to take the game on, and while I know there was some talk of recruitment, my sense is that it would only delay the inevitable. Even if the game went on for another month or two, I don't think the momentum is there. Now feels like the right time to move into endgame.
Which brings me to...
Five Years On
The game will wrap up with a Five Years On event where you can play your characters doing whatever they're doing in five years' time. Have they worked their way to the top? Gotten a new job or a relationship? However you want to conclude your character's arc in the game, this is the place to do it.
The event post will go up next Monday 9th October.
In the meantime, please feel free to use this post to plot and figure out where you want to go with your character and their CR! I'll be observing (and possibly participating in) the discussion to get an overall sense of what the game future looks like (peaceful? bloody? more or less equal? that sort of thing), and the wrap-up post will contain a summary of the situation in London in 5 years' time.
Character amnesty!
For the duration of October, the game will be open to any character who was previously in the game! Just request to join and I'll accept the request, no questions asked. You're then free to post any wrap-up posts, reunion threads, whatever your heart desires. You can also participate in this plotting post and in the 5-year wrap-up post!
In summary
• The game will remain open for the duration of October for you to continue playing, wrap up your threads, etc. Old characters can return too!
• There will be a Five Years On wrap-up log on 9th October where you can conclude your character's arc.
• Use this post to plot! Happy planning, and thanks for all the fish.

Arthur
For Five Years On, Arthur will have gotten out of the hunting business for the most part. He might still be a kind of guide type for the younguns providing contacts for supplies and bounties but he'll definitely be out of the politics & strategizing game. If anything he'll be offering up any of his non-hunting services (those being security and general supernatural knowledge) to anyone who needs it. He's kind of like an all-around general consultant/"guy who knows a guy" for all your supernatural needs... he can't tell you how to make that potion you're trying to make but he almost certainly knows someone who can.
He will also have moved in with Eames and they'll almost be functioning like a regular couple. They won't be super open about it - you won't be a getting a Christmas card from them any time soon, or ever, but this was probably one of the various nails in the coffin for his political career given that Eames will still be a fae Lord and Arthur doesn't need people questioning his decisions or behaviour. If you want to appease my shippy little heart I am open to any and all threads related to this as well
give me all the awkward dinner parties and double dates please. It's been super fun playing with all of you! If I've forgotten anything or you want to thread something different for the last month/five years on just hit me up here or plurk!

HOW ABOUT THAT AWKWARD DOUBLE DATE HILLINGDON BRO

fuck the preamble let’s just skip right to lance and faolan showing up at eames’ house
Evie
Well, Evie's been up to pretty much the same stuff for the last five years. Killing people. She and Natasha will have since broken up, but remain on friendly terms! Likely, she'll have left London for a time, running around the world and trying to make things better for everyone.
Laura
That being said, five years later, I would love Laura to not only be the Alpha of the East End Pack, but also the President of
everythingthe Night Council! Presumably she had a kick-ass campaign and came out on-top after her rise to the top of the East End. She succeeded in creating a position on the Night Council for the werewolves, and kept the position of Representative until she was elected president. She's still a huge dork.
Nancy
Five-years later, however, Nancy is
deadstill living. However, things aren't looking too great for her. She'll have long since ended her relationship with Cooper and immediately took up with her felon ex-boyfriend Bill Sikes, notorious temper tantrum werewolf. With Fagin dead, Bill doesn't have anyone to really answer to, so that helps things. He, however, is still an abusive dick and Nancy is still madly in love with him. It's also very very possible that, since the return of Bill, that Nancy's cut off contact with most people. If Bill asked her never to speak to someone again, she would listen, despite the fact that he's her familiar. Oh, yeah. That's a thing.
Re: Nancy
or at least in the works?

Dodger has a stockpile of silver for it!

Re: Nancy
Eames
He and Arthur are 'openly' a couple, in that they're not really hiding it anymore and living together. I'd say it's been that way a couple of years, or basically not long after Arthur stopped working at Hillingdon. (I don't think they've had the conversation about exclusivity yet though /waggles eyebrows)
Significant events he's had a hand in will be helping Dodger kill Fagin (and probably putting some money/contacts toward getting the boys in his den somewhere decent to live and all that,) and also helping murder the heck out of Nancy's dear Bill. Probably made at least one attempt on his life before Murder Team Up but Nancy always seems to be in the way somehow.
Re: Eames
Mogget
Other than that... it's possible that after five years he might have... made a friend or two? And by "friend" I mean "person who feeds him fish and whose company he doesn't hate". It's possible.

Eames will still be sarcastic and rude to him of course, but in a friend-adjacent way.
