Activity Check: October 2016

IMPORTANT: Activity check will run from 1st-5th November. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS POST.

Here's your monthly activity check! Please read this post carefully, then complete the form below and comment to this post to stay in the game:

This activity check is for the month of October. All the activity that you submit to go towards the minimum activity requirements or activity rewards must have been posted in that month. The game operates on a UK timezone i.e. GMT, so please check to make sure that your submitted activity falls within the right month in this timezone.

If you are currently on hiatus, you do not need to check in. Everyone else should check in. If you have been on hiatus for two weeks or more during the past month, you must still check in but you do not need to submit any activity proofs.

IMPORTANT: Unless you are on hiatus RIGHT NOW DURING THE ACTIVITY CHECK, you MUST CHECK IN.

Anyone who does not comment to this post to check in on time will be removed from the game.

Activity Requirements
Activity check runs from the 1st-5th of every month. The minimum activity requirements vary depending on your character's rank. They are as follows:

Levels 1-2
One post from you with at least five comments from you.
OR
Ten comments across 1-2 threads where you tagged someone else's post.

Levels 3-4
One post from you with at least five comments from you and five comments across 1-2 threads in other posts.
OR
Twelve comments across 2-3 threads where you tagged someone else's post. Must submit a minimum of 2 threads.

Level 5
One post from you with at least five comments from you and eight comments across 2-3 threads in other posts. Must submit a minimum of 2 threads.
OR
Fifteen comments across 3-4 threads where you tagged someone else's post. Must submit a minimum of 3 threads.

• All activity submitted must be from the relevant month i.e. the month before each activity check. The month is measured according to UK time.
• You can link to threads that include comments from the previous or next month, as long as you only count comments within that thread from the current month.
• You can submit thread comments and comments from posts made by you that were originally started in the month before the AC period, but no older than that. For example, for an August activity check, you could submit comments from a thread that had been started in July, and count the comments from that thread that were made in August. You could not submit comments from a thread that started in June, even if that thread did include comments from August.
• Comments do not have to be evenly spread between threads. You could submit two threads of 7 and 3 comments respectively, and this would add up to your 10 comment total.
• The comment count applies only to comments posted by you. For example, a thread of 20 comments in which Player A posted 10 comments and Player B posted 10 comments, could be submitted by each player as a count of 10 comments.
• Text messages, phone calls and other network-style posts and comments cannot be counted towards AC.
• If you play a character at level 2 or above, your character will go down one level if you do not obtain any activity points for two months in a row. This includes being excused for hiatus or taking a strike.

Activity Rewards
After meeting the minimum activity requirements, you can also submit additional activity in exchange for points, which you can spend on rewards. Check out the Activity Rewards for the list of rewards you can claim.

Ten comments = 1 point

These ten comments do not have to be in the same thread, they can be from any number of threads. Any extra comments that don't add up to ten won't get you anything. For example, if you have 15 additional comments beyond the minimum activity requirements, this would net you 1 point. If you have 20 additional comments, this would net you 2 points. If you have 29 additional comments, this would still net you 2 points, as the extra nine comments aren't enough to reach one more point.

You must pass the minimum activity requirements first. Posts and threads that you submit for AC cannot be used to exchange for points, even if they go beyond the minimum activity requirement. Nor can you claim any points if you are on hiatus, just checking in or you fail the activity check. The rewards system is for additional activity only.
• For any posts that you didn't use for AC, you can count your starter post as one comment.
• You can only count comments that are posted by you. Comment spamming (i.e. posting multiple responses to a single comment) only counts as one reply.
• Text messages, phone calls and other network-style posts and comments cannot be exchanged for points.
• Comments must be posted within the AC period i.e. the month before each activity check. You can submit thread comments and comments from posts made by you that were originally started in the month before the AC period, but no older than that. For example, for an August activity check, you could submit comments from a thread that had been started in July, and count the comments from that thread that were made in August. You could not submit comments from a thread that started in June, even if that thread did include comments from August.
• The maximum number of points you can claim at each activity check is 15.
• You can save up points from previous activity checks. So if you received 2 points in one month, you could save these and gain an additional 2 points in the next month, for a total of 4 points.
• There may be some instances where points will not be awarded e.g. if a player's activity consists only of threads between themselves and one other player, or if the submitted activity consists of very short threads that have all been dropped. This will be decided according to mod discretion. Please don't try to game the system.

ACTIVITY CHECK ENDS 5TH NOVEMBER AT 18:00 GMT.

If you check in late, you will receive a strike, so make sure you check in on time! As always, feel free to ask if you have any questions.

OKAY hopefully I am addressing everything here correctly. Please let me know whether I missed anything anywhere!

Changes in Islington Nest Rules:
• Jean-Claude is re-establishing the rule that no child under the age of 16 may be made into a vampire.
• Islington vampires may only eat those willing to donate. Islington's human allies have arranged a network of donors specifically for this purpose.
• Outside of a faction dispute or self-defense, no vampire may kill another being, human or supernatural.
• Any vampire caught breaking the rules is considered fair game for punishment from any other member of the nest or vampire hunter.

After Winning a Territory:
• The Islington Nest will walk the streets at night and appropriate safe houses within the area for the less daylight-friendly to be able to shelter in. During the day, the human allies will begin working on new recruits for the donor network. And of course, a victory party is highly encouraged.

No change in Rules/Status for now. Until werewolves give them a reason to lift it, although Jean-Claude will not direct Islington to be openly hostile against them, he doesn't trust them in Islington either. No werewolves are allowed in Islington Nest Territory.
