Hello!
Hi there! I'm Emily and I am brand new to
undergrounds. I'm bringing in Simon O'Neill, an original character. He's a Redbright Institute-aligned shapeshifter and is kind of a neurotic wreck most of the time. He's also not totally zen with his transformation, so he views the magical world with confusion and some suspicion. That needs to be changed! Or reinforced, depending on your character's alignment. Also, he's totally not okay with other shapeshifters so I would love him to meet some.
Simon is a student at University College London and lives in a tiny, cramped flat near its main campus in Bloomsbury. He's also a part-time barista at Starbucks in Covent Garden, so he can do a lot of interactions that way as well.
Anyway...hi! I'm super excited to be here. :3 I can be reached via PM or on Plurk at

An awkward doggy friendship sounds great. Simon needs more friends, period, so it will be good to have one.
And pff, Norrell. Simon might actually begrudgingly get along with the guy. He's a scientist who tends to like things when they're a bit more logical and more tightly regimented.

Norrell really fits the setting, particularly! And they're a lovely contrast, with Lancelot being easygoing and friendly about everything while Norrell DISLIKES everything.
As long as Simon agrees with him on everything he might be acceptable 8| NORRELL ENJOYS YES-MEN agree with him that fae are bad and everything should be controlled and possibly licensed and limited and he will tolerate Simon's presence. He's terribly prickly but you know, people grow on him with enough exposure!
Lancelot is way easier, of course. He'll probably have less going on this month ICly (since Norrell has his territory claim) aside from a little investigating for Sylvia (flush out the Midnight witches!! FIND OUT ABOUT THEM!!) so it'd be easy to have him run into Simon some time, either with or without his dog c: (he has a fluffy white Samoyed, Simon could befriend her -- team white dogs.)

Simon won't be a strict yes-man, but he's like "dude this is weird why aren't we studying the scientific basis for all this magic." So it somewhat works.
