Re: Croydon Territory Claim

For everyone involved in this claim, I know it was more part of Heiji's plot than mine and since he's going, Mab had no driving reason for needing another claim right away.  So I'll let it boil down to everyone else involved in the claim. Do you still want it to happen or would you rather let it slide and let the territory stay Daybreak?  (Yes I'm including people opposing the claim in that :) )

Lance is a daybreak character, but honestly I have no particular preference!

Daybreak has plenty of territory, and I think some people have played as if the attack is happening either way, but equally I am not sure anyone has played specifically that the fae won yet?

Honestly, I would do what is best for you! c: You could, possibly (? You may need to check with the mod!) play as if Heiji is there for the claim then let his drop happen afterward! Equally you could play that he vanishes during the claim and opt to let the fae lose, possibly giving Mab incentive to get back at Daybreak later for the loss of face! You could say they plan the came then Heiji never turns up so they never go for it? Or you could see how much playing has gone through and retcon, if people prefer!

Plenty of options! And like I said, I don't particularly mind either way -- although just in case things change I'll hold of tagging into the territory claim for the moment to save more possible things to retcon!

I was planning to tag in eventually, so I would still play out something! I was just busy then, admittedly, after Tetra dropped unsure if the claim was going to stand or not so waited to see (bystander syndrome, I know!)

If all else fails you could have Mab help win it then totally lose interest in it (I wouldn't blame her, Croydon isn't that nice) and someone could strike back and take it back next month while she goes 'tch I didnt like it anyway' and doesn't help defend, because it was all Heiji's idea anyway and it was too much effort.

There's both comedy and plot value in every avenue c:

If you'd like to play anything involving helping the Daybreak witches, I've set up a thread!

Hey there! In terms of my own personal motivation (as well as Faolan's), I'm pretty easy-going on this. Faolan is really only involved bc he was dragged in by a friend, to be their +1 battle buddy. He's got a new toy (fro the activity rewards) that it might be interesting to test out in a scenario like this, but I won't be heartbroken if that has to wait for the next available opportunity.

TL;DR I really wouldn't mind one way or the other, but if your heart's not in it and no one else is jumping at the bit to take part in either side of the claim maybe it's better to let it slide than forcing it? Put your efforts into things you would enjoy more? IDK that is my 2c, I'm happy with whatever choice is made, and will look forward to threading with Mab either in a battle here or elsewhere :)

Thanks for posting this, it's good to discuss! From my point of view, I have already been playing out things with Sylvia that assume the Croydon territory claim did take place, so I would prefer not to retcon.

As mentioned, Heiji is still around until the 15th (as he is also defending the Barnet claim), so there's no reason for the territory claim not to ICly happen. I would be happy for the fae to claim victory here, I think it's the simplest option, but am open to hearing everyone's opinion.

Perhaps one other thing to consider is: what are the fae going to do after Heiji leaves? Will any of them be interested in defending the territory?

They ought to defend it if someone goes after it, but simply choosing to withdraw is a legitimate option.

All right, I replied! Sorry for the delay, I was busy over the weekend. Let me know if there's anything I should change!
