Plotting post: Haunted house!

You are asked to investigate a haunted house, but it turns out that the person who asked you is in fact being possessed by the ghost haunting the house... and they have some not very nice plans for you.

So I saw this haunted house plot and couldn't resist grabbing it! Heiji is incurably curious and will not be able to keep himself from poking his nose into a haunted house gosh how exciting.

I'm up for hashing out ideas, I have a couple of elements floating around like maybe a little kid has gone missing in the vicinity of the house, or 50 years ago it was the site of a spoooky murder or something. So yeah, if you're interested, let's talk about it c:

Edit: ALSO I was thinking about having this either the last week of May or first week of June, but we can talk about that too!

‣ a "mysterious" letter gets sent to apollo claiming he has an assignment. apollo's a newbie so... ok, an assignment.
‣ but he isn't stupid so he's fine with heiji coming along since apparently heiji likes this stuff anyway.
‣ stiles is coming along too. he is there.
‣ the arrive at the house, and while exploring, find some secret that makes the ghost try to ruin them forever.

I demand that we have at least one cheap jump scare and also I will think about what this secret is :|a. I think it would make sense for the ghost to pick Apollo hoping that he's just some dumb out of town lawyer who can be easily manipulated and also for some reason these two other guys show up?

Or maybe Heiji and Stiles weren't invited at all and they crash in through the attic window or something, that sounds entertaining.

oh yeah, heiji probably found the letter on apollo's desk and seriously wanted in on that, and stiles is his pal. apollo probably lumps these two together sometimes anyway. so when he showed up, heiji's car was Right There

but yeah, apollo's probably the newest to underground stuff so he'd be the initial dummy in this Master Plan. i'll take this one for the team

how about this

so a nice old lady hires apollo and then when he and the others show up at her spooky ass mansion, she tells him the reason she needs his help is to be the defense attorney for her nephew, who is currently in a coma and suspected of trying to murder her for a really large inheritance.

but then they discover that she (or at least the ghost possessing her) actually framed her nephew so she'd get all the money instead and thereafter they are trapped in the house with a murderous ghost. I have a little diagram sketched out of the thing(s) they can find that would bolster their theory, but I'm not sure how much you want to know about that :V

well that's definitely more solid than anything i could've come up with on the fly so it sounds fantastic to me!! the ghost could be the house owner from the timey days? an ancestor that the family hated because she looted all of them out of their money or something

i think i'll play a game and see how much i can find out, but if i feel dumb then i'll ask you LMAO why not make it challenging

Wow this sounds super cool. I will try to be helpful in planning but mostly I'm just picturing these three screaming like in candids taken from the Nightmares Fear Factory.

Haha excellent. I don't think the mystery will be that difficult to figure out, but yeah I've got the basics down B).

If there's anything in particular you want Stiles to do, let me know! I figure we can just make stuff up on the fly to terrorize these nerds :').

I'm totally good with just winging it! In terms of getting Stiles involved IC, he could be hanging with Heiji around the time they hear about this business. Or maybe he stalks Heiji there because he's a nosy lil shit.

Because Stiles is only a human (and incapable of actually seeing the ghost once it stops possessing people), this will be REALLY FUN. If we want to make things extra insane, the ghost can always jump ship to Stiles in an attempt to save herself or smth.
