James putting a very clear distance between the pack and Alex will help to mitigate things in the long term. In the short term, the fact will still remain that an East End werewolf either tried or succeeded in murdering the head of the Islington Nest, and many vampires won't like that. If Alex is identified, half the nest will come after her.

I have no preference either way on whether it succeeds or fails. Assuming that the East End players are good with plotting out the potential consequences either way, I suggest that it should be up to the Islington players to decide Millicent's fate. Let me canvass opinion.
