I said this on Plurk but for the sake of saying it here also I WILL. idk how well you know canon?? But in case you don't, Childermass goes so far as to take a bullet for the guy and Norrell still, when forced to choose between horrible ideas/people and Childermass who has served him faithfully for DECADES he chooses the other guy and sends Childermass away. So I would kind of like for an echoing of canon to happen involving Childermass also?

Namely putting him through something terrible for Norrell only to have Norrell totally not care about his choices/sacrifices in the end. And possibly even fire him or something. Childermass isn't going to stick around in the city without him, so I would love for him to be involved in his downfall as well, in his own way?
