abovegrounds | Plotting Post: Shapeshifter Bounty

Hi there Undergrounds! This is Teresa and I claimed plot #1, which reads as follows: "There is a bounty on a rogue shapeshifter. They are wanted alive. This shapeshifter is a real life cat burglar, and has stolen some valuables from someone very wealthy. Reward: £250, only if you return the valuables."

I figured that this bounty is probably widely known amongst those who might know about bounties (which is horribly descriptive I know). Especially in the Hillingdon clan, word has undoubtedly spread by now and the community of those who are interested in such a thing will have started to get excited about the monetary prize and the fact that no one's caught the person yet.

It's entirely possible that word's probably spread to other clans that may have caught news of such a thing as well. And of course others can be caught up in the hunting even if you don't know about it ahead of time. I'm going to be putting up a plot for the actual hunting and catching of the person possibly later today or tomorrow depending on how quick of a response I get here but I just wanted to cover a couple things:

1) PARTICIPANTS -- who is interested in participating in this event? What characters might be looking and what talents they might be bringing to such a search? This is the part where you guys comment in and do your plotting amongst each other. Are you going to team up? Attempt to go solo?
2) SUCCESS -- obviously we want someone to win the money, now we just have to figure out who. If you signed up and you think your character has what it takes to succeed, let me know? I figure from that list I can RNG to determine a winner from there?
3) QUESTIONS? -- let me know if you have any about the plot! It's the first one I've chosen to run in the game so it's going to be a little clunky, but I'll be doing my best!

Faolan here is a Private Investigator/hunter in the Hillingdon clan, who has just been accepted as a Night Guardian. He's got the talents to be able to take such a job on, which is what attracted me to this plot in the first place. He generally goes it alone, but he usually ends up running into people and dragging them into his mess anyway. He'll definitely be going out on a hunt to try and catch this shapeshifter, and if anyone from Hillingdon wants to join him he will not turn them down. He's been a hunter for around a decade now, from a family of hunters in Ireland, so he's pretty good at what he's doing, even if he's only a scrawny little human. He's fast on his feet and quick-thinking. The hard part will be the bringing them back alive part, for him.

Anyone want to go hunting with Faolan? :')a

You've got a guardian buddy in Lance! He owes you from making sure he didn't die by werewolf anyway, SO.

PERFECT please make sure he doesn't die for £250 Lancelot, it would be right up there in terms of Faolan's luck but IT WOULD BE PRETTY TERRIBLE NONETHELESS

Will be helping Faolan! He doesn't care about money or anything he's just there because he owes him his skin. He's Daybreak, a Police Officer by day and also a Night Council Guardian. Lancelot is mostly human with just a bit of Seelie magic having been raised in the other realm!

If Faolan is too grumpy to effectively recruit you Lancelot can rope you in with charm c: It's like good cop bad cop.

I'm entering Faolan to win because of the above mentioned talents (and because if no one else participates then I guess he will by default LMFAO), but he'll have a hard time not...accidentally killing the person, since he doesn't really have any powers or strengths and he's pretty heavily reliant on weaponry to get his jobs done. So while I enter him now, since I'm going to be doing the roll for this, I'm... Probably not going to have him win, obviously. IT WOULD JUST BE SILLY IF I DIDN'T TRY THOUGH.

Can the thief be a jerk and attempt to steal something from a blind man?

Absolutely they can! :) There's no reason why they have to have kept their thieving to just the one "wealthy family" (though seriously who is wealthy and then only gives a £250 for their valuables I MEAN REALLY) -- why not spread the love!

Snake would be HAPPY to help if someone will catch a thief. Snake is sort of a telepath but it's kind of random how it works. Snake is not exactly cut out for hunting people down but can he get a clue of maybe where the thief is going next and then tell it to whoever wants to help him?

It looks like Faolan and Lancelot are really the only ones who are going to be on the hunt -- but this would be great! :) He can tell them where the thief is headed next and in exchange they get back whatever it is that was taken from him? How does that sound to you? Are you in?

HEY i hope it wasn't too presumptuous of me to go ahead and just make the log :x BUT i figured that this was an awesome setup for faolan to be pointed in the right direction to finding the thief.
